Rustic Two-Tier Wood Tray
Why I Love It
I love how a rustic two-tier wood tray tray because it can make the things you already use feel intentional. It gives a busy surface a little structure without asking you to hide real life.
If I Were Styling It in Your Home
I would use this anywhere small things tend to gather: a kitchen island, coffee station, bath counter, coffee table, or console. Start with three pieces at different heights and stop there before deciding whether it needs more. A tray should make the surface feel calmer, not give you another place to fill.
A Little Designer Advice
If the tray starts to look cluttered, remove something before adding anything else. One tall item, one medium item, and one low item is a good place to begin, but your eye matters more than a decorating rule.
If You're Giving It
This can be lovely for a new homeowner, hostess, or someone who loves an organized, beautiful home. You can place one small item on it for presentation, but I would let the tray remain the gift rather than filling it just for the sake of making a basket.
